This year, roughly 300 young women aged 16-24 in Metro Sydney will be at risk of having their recently born or soon-to-be born child removed from their care.
A donation to our 2022 May Appeal will ensure more young families, like Tegan and Zailee (pictured above), can have access to vital services and housing support to help them stay together and thrive.
Donate today to give vulnerable young families HOPE for the future.
“When I was 12, I was sexually abused.
“I developed intense anxiety, depression and I started self-harming. Due to my mental health, I dropped out of school in year 10 and began to lead an unhealthy lifestyle. When I was 20 I fell pregnant with my baby girl Zailee and I knew my life had to change.
“I've been working with the HOPE program since I was 20 weeks pregant, and thanks to them i've been able to make all the right changes for myself and Zailee.
“The hope program really changes lives.” - Tegan
The HOPE program needs to increase its service to support 90 young families next year.
